Experience an entertaining evening of Hawaiian culture at the Luau Kalamaku located at the historic Kilohana Plantation in Lihue. Feast on a delicious buffet of Hawaiian dishes, then sit back and enjoy a captivating performance that chronicles the epic journey of the Polynesians who discovered Hawaii. Before the show, stroll the beautiful grounds, browse an art fair and attend the traditional Imu Ceremony. There’s even the opportunity to ride the Kauai Plantation Railway around Kilohana Plantation before the show.
The show takes place in an open air pavilion. The dinner tables are arranged around the circular main stage and performers enter from all sides. The performance features hula dancers, traditional fire knife dancing, fire poi ball twirlers and more.
The dinner feast features fresh salads, potato macaroni salad, pineapples and papayas, teriyaki chicken, pan seared ono, rice pudding, pineapple upside down cake, dinner rolls, and of course, poi. Enjoy a Mai Tai and other beverages from the open bar.
The luau is presented on Tuesdays and Fridays and on select Mondays in the summer and winter.
