The view at the top of the first part of the trail (about fifteen minutes into the hike). You’ll know you are getting close when you start to feel very strong winds.
The spot is a perfect place to take your new Facebook profile pic.
Not liking the new practice of leaving head wear at the top of the first part of the trail.

A true jungle hike.
The little island in the distance is Lehua, just north of the “forbidden island” of Ni’ihau.
